We are Pedro Peñafiel, Ecuadorian, and Heike Brieschke, German. We live permanently in Mindo Lindo with our daughters Edith (11) and Manuela (8). We speak Spanish, German and English.
Pedro, professional carpenter and woodworker, has spent more than 30 years working in nature conservation. Pedro initiated the Protected Forest of Mindo Nambillo Declaration.
Heike has a doctorate in biology/ornithology and has conducted avifaunal studies throughout Ecuador.
Together we work in the areas of nature/sustainability training as well as nature and bird guides.
We live as we believe – actively involved as nature conservationists over 30 years!
